EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports from the Greeley Police Department Daily Newspapers. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column due to space limitations.
5:45 am: A man from the 600 block of 23rd Street said a security guard was laughing at him and not letting him enter the building to retrieve his clothes. The appellant said he was soaked and had run in the morning.
8:45 am: A caller in the 2900 block of 11th Street reported that a man near his house was acting suspiciously and was walking around Arby’s. She said he had not been in her yard, but she believed he was a registered sex offender.
1:30 p.m .: A woman called to report that her son tried to come forward to get an arrest warrant, but no one accepts it. She wanted to know how her son was supposed to surrender if no one stopped him.
2:00 p.m.: A caller in the 700 block of 11th Avenue reported a drunken man outside hitting a trash can.
5.30 p.m .: A caller in the 2200 block of 23rd Avenue called to report that children were a nuisance for climbing fences, ripping yellow tape off fences and smoking under trees.
11am: A caller in the 5900 block of 20th Street reported that a car dealership was playing music very loud. The appellant wanted them to refuse.
7:45 p.m .: A caller in the 2300 block of 16th Street called to report two girls who were trying a set of keys in all the locks in the apartment, including the appellant’s apartment.
10:45 p.m .: A caller near 16th Street and 8th Avenue reported that a man had fired a shotgun at them about 100 feet away, claiming he was a security guard.
2 a.m.: A caller in the 800 block on 4th Street reported a three month old puppy with a bowl stuck around its head.
6.45 p.m .: A caller in the 500 block of 11th Avenue reported that five drunken men near the back of the store were urinating on the dumpsters. A man threw a hat at the appellant and got mad at the appellant for not buying them alcohol.
11 o’clock in the evening: A man from the 2100 block of Wedgewood Drive called to report a man who had approached his driveway while cleaning his car in the garage and asked if he had a wife and children.
00:15: A caller in the 100 block of 14th Street reported that about five 13 and 14 year olds were having a loud party next door, not knowing if the parents were at home. The children told the appellant to shut up and threatened him.
1 p.m .: A caller in the 500 block of 22nd Street called to report that the guy above her was on drugs, had been up all night jumping to the music, and was out of control.
6.45 p.m .: A caller in the 2300 block of 8th Avenue said he refused to serve a man and returned, cursing customers with a bottle of alcohol. The caller said the man threw up on himself and refused to leave.
12h: A caller in the 3600 block of 10th Street reported that a child struck and damaged the appellant’s brand new Mercedes with a shopping cart.
10:15 p.m .: A woman from the 6900 block of 3rd Street said she ended things with a man, but he showed up to her house, took the flagpole from her driveway and threw it right by. his window.
7:45 am: A man from the 100 block of 24th Avenue called to report threatening texts saying someone was coming to his house to beat him up after liking a photo on Facebook.
1 p.m .: A man from the 2400 block of 29th Street reported threatening emails saying they were going to put porn on his computer unless he paid them $ 1400.
9:30 p.m .: A caller in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue called to say that federal agents are turning into beasts and eating humans. The caller said a missing person was eaten by an officer.
8:30 am: A caller in the 100 block of 11th Avenue called to report that her luggage had been placed on the wrong bus and her suitcase had been lost.
4:15 p.m.: A caller in the 1900 block of Almond Avenue called to ask what to do with the python because they were being kicked out.
6.15 p.m .: A caller in the 4900 block of 9th Street reported a man in the middle of the street doing martial arts with a shovel.
