Parents have received an urgent safety warning about a children’s bath toy, which has been recalled over choking concerns.
The toy from Chinese online discount store AliExpress, popular with UK shoppers due to its low prices, is one of several products on the site to be recalled this week by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.
Those who have purchased any of the listed items are advised to immediately stop using them and contact the supplier for “repair”, Liverpool Echo reports.
One such item is the “DIY Water Slide Indoor Waterfall with Assembly Tracks”.
The product poses a “medium-level” choking hazard, with government officials saying this is because it “consists of small objects that fit into a cylinder of small parts”.
The warning continues: “A child playing with this toy may place a small part in their mouth and swallow, which may cause blockage of the child’s airway.
“The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.”

The toy has now been removed from the UK’s AliExpress site.
The AliExpress number for the item is 005001606460220.
Other items removed include a handheld clothes steamer and hair dryer, as well as lamp accessories.
