The week-long virtual Spielwarenmesse Digital that served as a stand-in for the annual Nuremberg International Toy Fair has proven popular in the industry. Covering the original show dates, the online platform provided exhibitors and trade visitors with an alternative way to discover trends and engage in conversation on all things toy.

In five days, Spielwarenmesse eG registered 10,813 visitors from 82 different countries. The schedule of presentations has been viewed 22,000 times.

Networking is traditionally a key factor at the toy fair, and while the event certainly looked different, attendees this year were able to forge new relationships using the platform’s digital portal. Young companies, startups and established brands were able to communicate with potential buyers and present their products.

Additionally, Spielwarenmesse Digital has continued the tradition of guest speakers with the creation of Spielwarenmesse TV. This program hosted industry experts on the “red couch” to chat with them about different trends, products and more.

Interested visitors still have the opportunity until March 6 to purchase a ticket for the platform at digital.spielwarenmesse.de. All presentations will remain available on demand until the end of August.
