Although Spielwarenmesse’s in-person event was canceled this year due to COVID-19, the international toy fair is now going digital.

Spielwarenmesse Digital will virtually bring together the global toy industry. The online event will take place during the originally scheduled Spielwarenmesse weekend, February 2-6, 2022. This new platform offers a full live program for all attendees.

Along with ways to connect and communicate with other industry players, the program will offer the trade a compact overview of trends and innovations. The event will kick off with the announcement of the ToyAward and will feature Toy Business Forum presentations over the five days. Although the presentations are live, they will be recorded and available on demand as videos.

This digital platform will also allow retailers to establish direct contact with exhibitors using various communication tools, including private chats, group chats, audio calls and video meetings. Spielwarenmesse’s popular special area will also be featured on Spielwarenmesse Digital, along with a designated networking area.

“At Spielwarenmesse Digital, we are setting new standards,” says Christian Ulrich, spokesperson for the management board of Spielwarenmesse eG. “With this platform, we are providing the international toy community with an extensive industry network that will allow them to exchange ideas and develop new business relationships.”

Registration for Spielwarenmesse Digital opens today at digital.spielwarenmesse.de/en. Tickets already purchased for the in-person event will be valid for the digital platform.
