Scenarios in the Toy Story franchise that disappeared without explanation

When Andy’s Toys hijack a Pizza Planet truck to rescue Woody in “Toy Story 2”, three squeaky alien toys from the arcade are found inside the vehicle. A quick turn sends the trio falling out the window, but they are saved from their fate by a quick-thinking Mr. Potato Head. Following this incident, the aliens repeatedly say to the potato, “You saved our lives. We are eternally grateful to you.” As they repeat this sentiment in Andy’s bedroom, Mrs. Potato Head proclaims that she and her husband will adopt the aliens as their children.

Despite roughly a decade passing between “Toy Story 2” and “Toy Story 3,” the aliens still repeat their “eternally grateful” line to Mr. Potato Head in the third episode. They also return their father figure’s basic favor when they not only save Mr. Potato Head, but everything Andy’s toys of a creepy incinerator.

The aliens move into Bonnie’s bedroom and feature in “Toy Story 4”. But unfortunately, Bonnie doesn’t take them on the road trip where most of the film’s action takes place, which means they’re absent from the main plot. What happened to their relationship with their adoptive parents? Did the Potato Heads have to deal with anything like a tough adolescence (or the toy equivalent, anyway)? We may never know.
