The Land O ‘Lakes Kennel Club dog show will feature nearly 200 dog breeds, including two newly recognized breeds – the Russian Toy and the Mudi.
ST PAUL, Minn. – Over 1,600 dogs of nearly 200 different breeds, including two of the most recent recognized breeds, will be participating in the Land O ‘Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show in St. Paul this weekend.
The three-day event, which started on Friday, will end on Sunday and bring together more than 1,600 dogs of 197 different breeds, including the Russian Toy and the Mudi, two newly recognized breeds, competing for Best in Show honors.
The dog show will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Center Rivière Saint-Paul.
On Saturday morning, the American Kennel Club will host a “Puppy Party,” a mock show for puppies four to six months old.
St. Paul Police Department’s K-9 Unit will host a special detection broadcast on Saturday morning.
All dog show attendees will also be able to visit the Unleashed Dog show, which features live demonstrations and activities for guests and their dogs.

Tickets cost $ 10 for adults, $ 5 for children five to 12, $ 7 for seniors and veterans, and free for children under five. Tickets can be purchased at the gates or online here.
The face cover will be compulsory during the dog show. The Twin Cities on Wednesday reinstated face mask requirements for buildings and businesses in the city, which went into effect on Thursday.
