Darren McGrady was the personal chef to the Queen, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry for fifteen years. Talk to OK! Magazine, the Royal Chef revealed the wonderful sweet fruit that would grow on the Royal Estate during his time there.
He explained that the peaches were so delicious that chefs should “lock them up” for the queen.
Mr McGrady said: “Windsor’s most amazing sweet white peaches also grew on the estate in my time.
“They had to be locked up in the kitchens because everyone wanted to taste them.
“The Queen is still looking forward to them, but she will have to wait until they are in season.”

Mr McGrady would mash the young princes’ first meals of steamed apples and pears from Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
He explained that the purees had to be sifted twice to make sure there were no lumps left.
The royal chef added: “As you get older you would have one chef in the kitchen making the chicken, another doing the vegetables, and then everything would be mixed up; it was a big cooking operation for them.
Mr. McGrady now lives in America and has cooked for five US presidents.
