Shopping for NOL is quite intimidating – the thought of having to go out and buy gifts for the family is a difficult task for many.
But can you imagine having 22 kids to buy gifts for?
While most of us have a handful of people to buy Christmas presents for, Sue Radford, mum of Britain’s largest family, has a big job to do when it comes to shopping. gifts every year in December.
Sue, 46, has 313,000 YouTube subscribers and her latest video shows her Christmas shopping for her children.
So if you want to know what it’s like to shop for 22 kids, listen up.
Sue took a trip to the Smyths toy chain for some freebies and luckily had the help of her son Luke, 21, and daughter Millie, 20.
Sue’s daughter Heidi, one year old, and Millie’s daughter Ophelia, three months old, also came to take the tour.
Sharing the video on YouTube, Sue said, “Join us for a visit to the toy store and a festive hot chocolate with some of the kids!
“We are preparing to leave. We’re going to do some Christmas shopping while the kids are at school.
“I just dropped Bonnie and Archie off at the nursery so we just have Heidi and Ophelia and Luke is coming too.”
“We’re going to do some Christmas shopping in Smyths, so we’ll take you with us.”
Sue’s video shows the family in Smyths as Sue walks around the store with the camera, showing popular children’s toys.
We see all kinds of toys, with all kinds of things, from cars and motorcycles to teddy bears and dinosaurs.
Luke was not impressed with children’s vacuum cleaners and said, “Why would you want to buy your kid a vacuum cleaner? To which Sue replied: “To teach them how to clean”.
Luke didn’t sound enthusiastic and said, “But they’re three years old. They don’t need to learn threesome vacuuming. They must learn to speak.
Sue replied “Teach them early”.
Luke was more interested in the mud buckets.
Although Sue was not enthusiastic, she said, “We will have them, but it makes such a mess everywhere.”
The family shopping trip was very successful and as you can imagine when shopping for 22 kids there were a lot of carts involved.
Sue said, “Either way, I think we guys better go guys because the carts look a little full.”
The family left the toy store with three stacked carts, with all the things of a kitchen set, mud buckets, dolls, games, cars, babies and Lego.
After the big shopping spree, Sue continued, “Well, it’s over for us in Smyths toys.
“We had quite a few full carts. “
But the next task was to try to put everything in the car …
Sue said: “Now we have to try to put everything in the car – do you think we’re going to do that guys?
“Do you think we’ll be able to integrate everything? Not sure.”
Sue, Luke, and Millie then wrapped the Christmas presents in their Land Rover and, shockingly, everything managed to fit together.
Sue said, “We did it. It’s all in there.
“I think we deserved a Costa.
“It’s done and we’re now ready to go get a Costa.”
