A toy store in Salisbury has its last day of trading today (Friday 31 December).

The Entertainer on Blue Boar Row has been in town for 25 years, but due to a “sustained period of weak local commerce” they are closing their doors today.

The store is located next to the old Debenhams

Previously, in a statement, Mark Campbell, Group CEO at The Entertainer, noted:

“We are sorry to announce the closure of our Salisbury store which will cease operations on New Years Eve due to an extended period of weak local trade. The Entertainer has been trading in Salisbury since 1996 and has been a part of our journey for 25 years. We are incredibly proud of the Salisbury store team who are dedicated and hardworking and seek to redeploy them to other appropriate roles where possible. We would also like to thank our customers for their support over the past 25 years. After closing on New Years Eve, the nearest shops will be Eastleigh, Winchester and Bournemouth and customers can order online at TheToyShop.com.
