According to CNA, the man, Sulaiman Abdul Majid Maricar, was taken into custody at Woodlands Police Headquarters in October 2020.
While in the lock cell, Sulaiman was given a drink in a paper cup and some food for lunch on October 14, 2020. Sulaiman defecated into the cup and threw it at an officer on duty over late in the evening when the latter came to him.
When the officer asked Sulaiman to explain his action, Sulaiman ignored him.
The officer then reported the incident to his manager before going to the nearby washroom to clean himself up, the Straits Times reported.
Following the incident, Sulaiman was released on bail the next day but was again arrested a week later on charges of theft, CNA reported.
The 34-year-old is a repeat offender who has been incarcerated and released from prison for several offenses.
In 2009, he was convicted of burglary, according to Yahoo.
He was also banned from driving for 25 years. Despite the ban, he stole a motorcycle and broke into a food center in Tai Seng with his then girlfriend on October 23, 2020, which led to him being arrested again.
He pleaded guilty to six counts on May 28, including one of use of criminal force against an official.
